Bob Dylan first entered my consciousness during the 60's, when I was in high school in the suburbs of NJ. I had a copy of The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan songbook and played, (poorly I might add), "Blowin' In The Wind", "Don't Think Twice It's All Right" and "Masters of War." It was a pivotal decade where girls like me went from wearing circle pins, A-line skirts, matching shoes and pocketbooks, to blue jeans, bell bottoms and mini skirts. I, and half my generation, went from accepting what we were taught to protesting the Vietnam War. Bob Dylan was our counter culture hero, our bohemian leader and became one of the greatest songwriters of all time. One day I took the bus from Jersey into NYC and was wandering around Greenwich Village. I literally bumped into Bob Dylan and Joan Baez on the street. I was shocked into absolute silence, but 57 years later that moment is still etched in my memory.
